My Approach
“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to healing.”
- Bessel van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Our work together is shaped by what you’re experiencing, what you’ve tried before, and what feels supportive and realistic for you. If you’ve been in therapy that felt repetitive or left you feeling unchanged, it’s understandable to feel cautious about trying again. My goal is to offer something different—work that feels thoughtful, responsive, and meaningful.
I’m attentive to what’s actually helping and open about the process. If something doesn’t seem useful, we talk about it. If it feels important to shift direction, we do so together, with clarity and care. Therapy is meant to support movement and understanding, not keep you circling the same ground.
I pay attention to the body, not just the story. Many patterns of stress, anxiety, or trauma live in the nervous system and don’t always change through insight alone. I’m trained in mind–body approaches that help us work gently with these patterns and support regulation. EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and IFS/Ego State work allows us to gently address both the emotional and physiological effects of trauma, without forcing change or revisiting experiences before you are ready. Therapy is paced carefully, with attention to stabilization, choice, and your individual capacity.
I see emotions as meaningful signals rather than problems to fix. They hold information—sometimes shaped by the past, sometimes by the present—and understanding them can create more clarity and choice. The goal isn’t to feel good all the time, but to develop a steadier, less reactive relationship with your inner experience.
I believe each person carries an innate capacity for healing, especially when supported. I’m not here to tell you who to be or what decisions to make. My role is to support you in understanding yourself more fully and making choices that align with what matters most to you.
Therapy with me is collaborative and respectful. You remain in control of the pace and direction, and we work together in a way that honors your experience. If this feels like the right fit, I’d welcome the opportunity to support you.
What Sets Us Apart
Specialized Care
Many therapists include trauma in their work—mine is centered around it. I specialize in understanding trauma in its many forms, including PTSD and complex trauma, and how it can show up as anxiety, depression, chronic stress, digestive issues, or exhaustion. With advanced EMDR certification, somatic training, and years of focused experience, my work reflects a deep understanding of how trauma lives in both the mind and body.
Telehealth in Four States
I’m licensed to provide therapy in Florida, Maryland, Virginia, and D.C., allowing me to offer consistent, specialized trauma care to clients across these locations. Wherever you’re joining from, my goal is to provide the same thoughtful and focused support.
Transparent & Caring
I value clarity and openness in our work. We’ll regularly check in about what’s helping, and if something isn’t, we’ll adjust together - with transparency about next steps.
Privacy, Choice, Flexibility
Private pay therapy gives you flexible scheduling, complete privacy, and access to a full range of therapies like EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and IFS. With clear, upfront pricing, you can focus entirely on your healing and personal growth—without insurance restrictions.
Not Just Talk Therapy
Talk therapy is one important part of healing, but it doesn’t always address the whole experience. I integrate EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, and IFS to support both the mind and the nervous system, recognizing that trauma affects more than thoughts alone.
You Lead, I Guide
Our work is collaborative. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, clarify what you want from our work, and adjust along the way. My role is to offer guidance, tools, and thoughtful support as we go.
